Stephen WaddellMultimedia Specialist Academic Technology Innovation
Stephen Waddell is an Immersive Media Developer at DELTA with a focus on virtual, augmented and mixed reality design and development. Stephen is involved in researching industry trends and emerging immersive technologies and its benefits in higher education. He was a part of one of DELTA’s first augmented reality projects — an AR textbook for graphic design theory. Stephen has expertise in Unity3d, game engines, 3D graphics software and the Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design from NC State where he founded and served as an officer of the Video Game Development Club. During college, Stephen worked with a cohort, The Leading Strand, from the College of Sciences and the College of Design to create a game in Unity3d from scratch based on antibiotic research. The game was later shown at the Accelerate Festival at the Smithsonian.
