Brandon PopeClassroom Support Technician Academic Technology Innovation
Brandon Pope joined NC State University Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) in 2017 as a Classroom Support Technician where he provided audiovisual, videoconferencing, and classroom-capture support for distance education.
In 2018, Brandon transitioned to the DELTA-Engineering team, focusing more on maintaining the infrastructure which sustains our media-rich classrooms and meeting spaces. In the summer of 2019, Brandon was part of the implementation team which overhauled DELTA’s Central Control Room (CCR) located in Ricks Hall. The overhaul replaced aging infrastructure with AV-Over-IP technology, resulting in increased capabilities and flexibility for classroom capture services and beyond.
An educator himself, Brandon was a teacher with NC Public Schools from 2004-2010 and remains active in performing arts education across the state of NC. His role at DELTA allows him to put his passion for teaching and learning, along with his fascination with evolving technology into practice on a daily basis. Brandon is a native North Carolinian and a graduate of East Carolina University.
