Registration is open for DELTA’s Block 1 Fall Workshops.

All classes are free and open to faculty, staff and teaching graduate students.

In addition to our line up of Block 1: Getting Started classes, we are offering a few new topics.

  • Top Hat, our new enterprise-level instructional tool, is available this semester free of charge to faculty and students. If you’re new to Top Hat, you’ll want to join us for this introduction to the Top Hat toolset! We’ll discuss the key functionality of Top Hat, as well as the pedagogical benefits of using the platform.
  • Blending Learning, which integrates online learning into a face-to-face class, can contribute to your students meeting their learning objectives. Do you need to put a couple classes online due to conferences or “snow days?” In this workshop we will explore the different strategies for a hybrid course and the technologies that can help support it!
  • Online Course Design Series: Planning Your Online Course gets you from ideation to action. Do you plan on taking your course online? Don’t know where to start? This workshop will walk you through and provide you with a resource that covers the basics of organizing your course for an online environment, which includes: considering learning objectives, alignment of course material, and creating appropriate activities and assessment.

Stay tuned for more classes coming this Fall — Block 2: Strengthening your Teaching with Technology Skills and Block 3: Special Topics.
