My Mediasite adds two exciting new features to our suite of media production and online instruction applications: desktop recording and personal media management. Using a new suite of tools built on our existing Mediasite system, My Mediasite lets you:
record presentations or screencasts from a personal computer, capturing video, audio and/or computer images
upload previously recorded video to be stored and managed in one location
edit video through a Web-based video editor
After creating or uploading video into My Mediasite, you can share links directly from Moodle, on your own website, through email or in class, allowing you to consolidate course materials for you and your students.
My Mediasite is a service intended for all faculty and staff, not just current classroom content capture users.
Because we expect My Mediasite to have a significant impact on the university, we are deploying My Mediasite in phases and adding functions gradually. This upcoming phase will allow any faculty or staff member access to My Mediasite.
