Moodle Course Copier Problems

We recently created a Course Copier block in Moodle to allow faculty to easily copy content from one Moodle course to another. We have experienced some issues with the fidelity of the copies, in some cases there have been missing exam questions, broken links or other resources missing. We have been unable to quickly and reliably solve the problem with enough degree of certainty to allow people to reliably use the tool.

We are disabling the Course Copier block and directing people to use the prior methods of importing content or restoring your course, instructions can be found at: https://delta.ncsu.edu/get_help/faq/solution.php?solution=3644

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this may have caused,

Marty Dulberg

    Thanks a lot.

I won’t be using Moodle this year thanks to your
    helpful changes.

    Dr. Kellner,

We are very sorry about the confusion and inconvenience this has caused to you and other faculty. It was a pleasure speaking to you on the phone and we will be happy to help you migrate your content to your new course!

Thanks for giving Moodle another chance. The problem was with the tool that we wrote (Course Copier), not Moodle itself.
