April 8 Teaching and Learning Symposium

The Office of Faculty Development will be hosting its first campus-wide Teaching and Learning Symposium (TLS) on April 8, 2011. This event will celebrate exemplary teaching at North Carolina State University. Provost Warwick Arden will be presenting university teaching awards and Dr. Maryellen Weimer, Professor Emeritus of Teaching and Learning, Pennsylvania State University, will deliver the keynote address.

The event will feature a poster session that highlights ongoing faculty efforts to enhance teaching and promote student learning. North Carolina State University faculty will present posters in each of the following categories:
1. Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
2. Innovations/Best Practices in Teaching.
3. Teaching with Technology.
4. Community Engaged Teaching and Learning.
