“Blended Learning: The 21st-Century Learning Environment”

On September 15 and 16, 2010 you are invited to join members of DELTA and the Office of Faculty Development for the 2010 ELI Online Fall Focus Session, “Blended Learning: The 21st-Century Learning Environment,” co-hosted by EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.

Presentations will be offered live inside a virtual learning space that is designed to promote interaction between the presenters and participants while exploring the content. Participants will have ample opportunity to pose questions to the experts and their colleagues, engage in real-life scenarios around blended learning, and learn about best practices relating to blended teaching and learning and like initiatives. We will be watching the presentations as a group and interacting with fellow participants through chat, helping us drive home key ideas and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

The event is scheduled for 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, and from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16. We will be participating in Venture II, suite 500, conference Room 75.

By participating in the event, you’ll have an opportunity to meet new colleagues, learn about projects already under way, and begin building connections that will last beyond the event. If you’d like to join us, please e-mail Traci Temple by September 13, 2010 to reserve your space.
