For 2023-2024, 40 recipients will receive a total of $219,000 in 34 new and continuing DELTA Grants. In collaboration with our faculty and campus partners, DELTA staff look forward to creating innovative solutions to instructional challenges and increasing student success.

Digitizing Textiles: Smooth as Silk?

DELTA and the Wilson College of Textiles collaborate on a virtual reality solution to fabric exploration using cutting edge technology such as the Virtual Viewer, Pico Neo3 VR headset and Ultraleap. They developed an app that paves the way for future work with fabric simulation.

DELTA has awarded a total of eight Express Grants stretching across five colleges. Grant types include six Instructional Tools Grants and two 3D Object Scan grants.

DELTA is pleased to announce nearly $242,062 in 14 new and eight continuing DELTA Grants to 32 recipients across the university. Recipients represent nine academic colleges and the Institute for Advanced Analytics.

Virtual Viewer Magnifies Its Performance and Potential

The Virtual Viewer is an online virtual microscope developed in collaboration with the Wilson College of Textiles. As part of a DELTA Grant, a project team recently updated the tool for continued use, added helpful new features and made changes to support widespread use at NC State.

An Online Graduate’s Story of Applying Knowledge to Industry

Lonny Carter, a product manager at Bob Barker Company, will graduate this December with a Master of Textiles degree completed entirely online at NC State. The skills and knowledge she's gained from the program have already begun making an impact in her career.
