A Work in Progress: Pioneering Distributive Training in VMC 949
Explore the DELTA Blended Learning Course Grant for VMC 949 in this Work in Progress feature. A team of DELTA staff members are working to innovatively use the Moodle mobile app for competency tracking and create an onboarding training module to connect students, faculty and community-based learning sites.
New CTI Nameplates Utilize Latest Technology
DELTA staff members recently received a modifiable tablet nameplate outside of their office space in the Center for Technology and Innovation. The nameplates allow DELTA staff members to set a status on the tablet including free, busy, in a meeting, on a lunch break or available for questions.
REPORTER at NC State
NC State’s Registration Platform for Non-Credit Activity and Required Training: REPORTER, is a cross-university solution for tracking, managing and reporting non-degree credit activities. It measures external outreach, internal training and non-credit activities, to assess their impact across the university and beyond.
WolfWare Website Usability Study Released
The WolfWare website is our gateway to the learning technologies we make available for faculty to teach their classes. DELTA recently conducted a usability study of the WolfWare website to help us assess how usable the website is for our faculty.
Provost Warwick Arden Visits DELTA
On April 19, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden visited DELTA to give staff members an opportunity to discuss relevant projects and provide an overview of DELTA’s many services. The provost toured the Centennial Campus Testing Center and the Center for Technology and Innovation.
Project Management System Assists DELTA Marketing and Communications Team
Over the past eight months, DELTA’s marketing and communications team incorporated the use of Kanban into their work in order to efficiently and effectively track ideas and project progression.
Mediasite Enterprise Dashboard Assists DELTA Team
The day-to-day management of Mediasite is more efficient and convenient with the Mediasite Enterprise Dashboard, which allows DELTA Mediasite administrators to see what is going on across all Mediasite instances at one time.
A Work in Progress: Course Redesign for CE 332
In the Civil Engineering Materials of Construction (CE 332) course, a team of DELTA staff members are working with Dr. Cassie Castorena and Dr. Rudi Seracino on a Critical Path Course Redesign Grant, a required course for students in the major to complete.
My Mediasite Tools Allow New Opportunities to Record Class Content
While overseas in the Republic of Georgia, Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Greg Byrd used My Mediasite to record lectures and easily upload them for his students to see while in his hotel room many miles away from campus.
