Spice Up Your Summer with “Recipes for Teaching Success”

Open to all staff, faculty and graduate students, registration is now available for Summer Shorts and Boot Camp: Moodle and More in August! This year’s program “Recipes for Teaching Success” will be hosted Aug.15 through Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with both virtual and in-person attendance options.

Attendees of DELTA’s Summer Shorts in Instructional Technologies will learn how to leverage NC State’s innovative learning technologies and strategies to improve student success. A team of DELTA experts will lead a series of sessions focusing on academic technology throughout each day of the program.

Session Schedule

The events will kick off on Monday, Aug. 15 with virtual sessions of Boot Camp, geared towards newer faculty, helping to familiarize them with a number of the instructional tools available for usage in their courses.

Tuesday, Aug. 16 features a return of the Boot Camp in hybrid format, with an in-person attendance option available at the Avent Ferry Technology Center, as well as a virtual option via Zoom.

Summer Shorts returns on Wednesday, Aug. 17 with hybrid sessions at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh, and live-streamed via Zoom.  We will be featuring Dr. Viji Sathy and Dr. Kelly Hogan of unifiED as our keynote speakers in the morning, and will spend the rest of the day submersed in topics including instructional technologies, Universal Design, engagement and more!

On Thursday, Aug. 18, Summer Shorts continues online with its deep dive into the realm of instructional technology and design, with presenters from many areas within DELTA and across the NC State campus.
