Mediasite and NC State DELTA logos.
NC State will transition to use the content capture tool Panopto in May 2021.

With the transition to Panopto as NC State’s enterprise video management system this May, DELTA is retiring the use of Mediasite/My Mediasite. This will take place in several phases:

  1. End of life for all “.online.ncsu.edu” Mediasite instances. On May 17, 2021, all Mediasite instances which have a URL including “.online.ncsu.edu” will be turned off and links to content on those servers will stop working (these are old instances that have not been recorded to for at least three years). Any content still in use needs to be moved to mediasite.wolfware.ncsu.edu before this date.
  2. End of recording for mediasite.wolfware.ncsu.edu. On May 17, 2021, the current Mediasite service will stop accepting new content. This includes classroom recordings, desktop recordings and the uploading of new content. Existing content will continue to be accessible for viewing only.
  3. Final export of content from Mediasite to Panopto. On May 17, 2021, DELTA will begin the process of importing all content on mediasite.wolfware.ncsu.edu. Once completed, all content saved on the current Mediasite service will be duplicated in Panopto. Information about when converted content will be available is forthcoming.
  4. End of life for mediasite.wolfware.ncsu.edu. On May 9, 2022, the Mediasite service will be turned off. All references to content need to be moved to Panopto by this date.
