DELTA-Con Set for April 24, Register Now(Archive)

DELTA-Con, now in its fourth year, is NC State’s annual unconference bringing together faculty, staff and graduate students from across local higher ed institutions. Join us April 24 for the discussion-based event to share your insights, network with peers and discover the latest in academic technology and innovation.

DELTA staffers are leading a session at SXSW EDU on March 11! Cathi Dunnagan, Rich Gurnsey and Ben Huckaby will be giving examples and challenging attendees to brainstorm how they would solve instructional challenges with the use of virtual and augmented reality.

Faculty Workshop to Evaluate the Quality of Free Textbooks and OER

Come learn about eliminating the cost of textbooks for your students at a faculty workshop on March 12 starting at 10 a.m. in the D.H. Hill Jr. Library. You’ll explore common myths surrounding open textbooks and gain the knowledge and expertise to evaluate and incorporate open educational resources into your courses.

Annette Moore is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. Moore continually revises her courses, particularly adding and refining tools to help students get hands-on with course materials both inside and outside the classroom.
