A New Reality for Online Education

Online instruction at NC State is taking on a whole new meaning, thanks to emerging virtual reality technologies and the DELTA staff members who adapt them for faculty and staff to use.

2017-2018 DELTA Annual Report Available Online

This year has been another year of discovery for DELTA in leveraging its unique strengths and reimagining education at NC State. Through innovative course design, teaching with technology workshops and the support of enterprise-level technologies, DELTA's goal is to improve the user experience for both students and faculty.

2018 Pride of the Wolfpack Award Recipients

Launching the Doctor of Design Program: A Collaborative Journey

In collaboration with DELTA, the NC State College of Design launched the only online Doctor of Design program in the country. This flexibility is intended to converge technology, innovation, and academic rigor to create an effective program with a focus design investigation. Learn about the making of this program.

WolfWare Outreach Impacts Food Safety

WolfWare Outreach provides opportunities to offer non-credit, fee-based, online courses on your own schedule. As a DELTA Faculty Fellow, Stacy Supak will investigate how experiences in online courses influence student success. She specializes in online learning and teaches half of the credit hours at the Center for Geospatial Analytics.

New Cohort of Faculty Set to Apply Quality Matters

After a successful pilot phase in spring 2018, the Online Course Improvement Program is gearing up for a new cohort of faculty who will work to make improvements to their online courses to meet the nationally recognized standards of the Quality Matters organization.

DELTA Welcomes New Class of Faculty Fellows

DELTA is excited to welcome four new Faculty Fellows for the 2018-2019 cycle. James McConnell, Justin Post, Melissa Ramirez and Stacy Supak will partner with DELTA to share teaching with technology best practices through a variety of activities. The four new Fellows will join Angie Smith who is continuing her grant through summer 2019.

As part of DELTA’s strategic goals, we strive to leverage learning technologies to increase student success as well as to increase collaboration and transparency with our services. In the 2017-2018 fiscal year, DELTA worked on a usability and redesign project for WolfWare to enhance the learning management system used campus-wide.
