From DELTA Intern to Disney Imagineer

Ashley Wagner, a former student intern in DELTA’s Creative and Multimedia Production Services group, participated in a dream internship this summer at Walt Disney’s Imagineering in Southern California. Wagner landed the internship after becoming a finalist in Disney’s ImagiNations Design Competition.

While interning at DELTA in Spring 2009, Wagner, an Art and Design major, assisted in research for developing a distance education section of ADN 418: Contemporary Issues in Art and Design. Wagner worked with Prof. Kathleen Rieder to explore and recommend tools to use in this course.

Wagner is the second student intern from DELTA to find success in the ImagiNations Design Competition. In 2006 a former DELTA intern, Ilana Marks, placed third in the same competition.  Marks is now a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin.
