Do you want to make a great first impression?
Program and course websites make a first impression with your prospective students. Properly done, websites can be a powerful channel for updates and information, unifying the learning experience and saving you time and effort.
Understanding prospective Online and Distance Education students and what they want from a website and exceeding their expectations, is the goal for the Marketing and Partnership Development (MPD) team. E-recruitment is the foundation for developing high-performance websites that attract prospective Online and Distance Education students and encourage them to enroll. Consulting and website development support includes design and development, search engine optimization (SEO), content recommendations, marketing and analytics support.
DELTA can help programs obtain the best practices, funding and contractors to upgrade your students’ web experience.
Analysis and Marketing Reporting
Do you know how your website is performing?
NC State Online and Distance Education program managers often use analytics-driven monthly reports to answer questions like these:
- What is next year’s matriculation going to look like?
- How can I improve the quality and diversity of my student body?
- Why might one online course be outperforming another in enrollment when offline the opposite is true?
- How should I spend my marketing budget this year?
DELTA is spearheading a Google Analytics Pilot Program to help programs tap into the benefits of analytics and make better decisions faster.

Social Media and Outreach
Social media is an important way to begin a dialogue with prospective students about educational opportunities that make a difference in their future. DELTA is constantly exploring new ways to use social media to fulfill our mission of engaging and sharing knowledge with their constituents. Our most common goals for social media to share information about our programs and explain what Online and Distance Education is and how it can provide flexible educational opportunities to students. We also use social media to highlight our faculty and students. We partner with University Communications to use NC State’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
