Ad-Hoc Classroom Capture

Using ad-hoc classroom capture with Mediasite, you may request and arrange recordings outside of regularly-scheduled course recordings, such as review sessions, presentations, guest lectures or other events. This service is available to all instructors, whether or not you use classroom capture regularly in your face-to-face course.

Please note that recordings must follow university copyright guidelines.

1. Schedule your event in an available room. Your event must be scheduled in a Mediasite-equipped classroom. Only rooms on the Classroom Capture Rooms list are participating in this service. The instructor must initiate and secure the room before submitting an ad-hoc request. To schedule a room, contact your scheduling officer or the event scheduler in Registration and Records.

2. Submit an ad-hoc classroom capture request. Complete the Ad-Hoc Recording Opt-In Form to request this service. All requests must be submitted by the instructor responsible for the course at least two business days before the recording. You will receive a confirmation email within two hours detailing any steps needed to complete your request.

No later than two hours before the recording, we will send an email confirming that the record button will be available in the classroom and including a link to the presentation that you can share with viewers. If you are recording an event related to a course, we can add the recorded content to your class catalog.

Classroom technical support may not be available if an ad-hoc recording is scheduled beyond regular ClassTech technical support hours (after 5 p.m.). With this in mind, DELTA and ClassTech will put forth every effort to ensure that recordings are successful.
