Challenge
How can I provide more feedback to students in a timely manner?
Solutions
- Provide self-tests with embedded feedback. Immediate student feedback provides the learner with concrete information about their performance for the purpose of observation and reflection.
- Provide regular performance feedback to students via an online grade book, available for access any time. Students need frequent opportunities to perform and receive feedback on their performance.
- Encourage student-to-student feedback by providing opportunities for peer review. Promote student ownership, which deepens their learning experience.
Principles
- Gives Prompt Feedback
- Learning is student owned
