Distance Education Classroom
Real-time distance education
Take your class to students who cannot come on campus by originating live televised instruction from the Interactive Classrooms to numerous remote sites connected to the North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN). Origination options include the delivery of NCSU classes to the rest of the United States through the use of H.323 technology at specially-equipped sites. Students at the remote sites can see and hear the NC State instructor on their television sets and ask questions.
Video Communication Services provides support services for NC State's distance education programs and other remote instruction. For DE instruction, the cost of service is already factored into DELTA's budget. Services provided to other University departments as well as all Centennial Campus Partners will be based on the 2008-2009 rate card. Charges for materials, additional support, and media will apply.
