Location Shooting
Location, or On Location shooting, also known as field shooting, refers to video shot in locations outside the classroom setting, both on and off campus. Below are several services available at NC State to help you meet your video needs.
Shoot it Yourself
We offer workshops and custom training to help you learn the basics of digital video production. The Digital Media Lab in D.H. Library provides video editing computers and equipment to facilitate your own video produciton. If you are interested in training, please contact LearnTech to schedule a consultation with our support staff.
Get Specialized Help
Work with professional videographers to produce your next video project, from single camera classroom taping to multi-camera taping on location.
Our staff has the necessary lighting and audio equipment to shoot high-quality video productions in remote locations using DVCPRO, Betacam SP, or mini DV recording formats. A teleprompter is available for field shoots. Staff provide both videorecording and editing services. Scan converters are used to record computer outputs, and special equipment is available for shooting computer screens with no flicker. Our staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we use professional video contractors to assist in complex shoots.
