Elluminate at NC State

NC State Elluminate Training

DELTA conducts Moderator training workshops for Elluminate. This training is designed for instructors, teaching assistants, or anyone who will be leading Elluminate sessions. For Spring 2008 the workshops are

  • Tuesday, February 19, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Thursday, April 3, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

All workshops are held in the ITTC Labs in the East Wing of D.H. Hill Library.

Instructional House Calls and Custom Training

Questions? Schedule a one-on-one Instructional House Call with a member of the DELTA staff.

In addition to our regular workshops DELTA can provide Custom Training sessions for your department, college, or unit.

Elluminate Training from Elluminate, Inc.

Attend live, online training sessions provided by Elluminate. Learn about using the tools, as well as best practices, tips, and techniques for using the tools effectively. Access the schedule and pre-register for Elluminate training events.

Begin with the two "Getting Started" sessions. Learn to lead/moderate Elluminate Live! sessions:

Part 1: Getting Started with Elluminate Live! for Moderators.

  • Introduction to the Elluminate Live! environment.
  • Hands-on explanation of the Elluminate interface, key features and functionality.

Part 2: Next Steps with Elluminate Live! for Moderators

  • Demonstration of synchronous tools to increase student interactivity online.
  • Practice session using Application Sharing and Breakout Rooms.

Elluminate provides several additional training resources:

  • Recorded Webinars Archives of important topics in synchronous learning.
  • Documentation and Tutorials A list of documents and quick reference guides to help you get the most out of Elluminate Live!
  • Flash Demonstrations Short tours that demonstrate how to use Elluminate Live! for different types of applications (distance learning, blended environments, etc.)
