Requirements
Minimum Computing Competencies Needed for Attending DELTA Workshops:
- Comfortable using a Windows PC environment (the ITTC Labs are all Windows PCs)
- Comfortable using Web browsers
- Ability to type on a keyboard and cut and paste text electronically
- Ability to manage files on a computer, including finding documents and directories on the desktop and navigating around them

Basic Skills/Requirements for Creating Instructional Websites:
- All of the minimum computing competencies described previously on either a Windows, Linux, or Macintosh platform.
- Technical Skills
- Ability to transfer files to servers (e.g., FTP, WebDAV, Web folders)
- Ability to work with .zip files (e.g., archiving, unarchiving)
- Knowledge of campus resources
- Awareness of the advantages and limitations of publishing to the Web, including a basic understanding of:
- File size considerations (impact on download speed)
- File formats appropriate for the Web
- Documents (PDF, HTML)
- Images (GIF, JPG)
- Multimedia
- Web accessibility
- Ability to ensure the accessibility of a Web site http://www.w3.org/WAI/
