DELTA IDEA Grants have been offered since 2000 but were not known as IDEA Grants until the year 2002. In the table below you can see the number of grants and amount of support awarded each year. If you click on the year, you will see a list of recipients for that year.

*The figures in this table do not include the 2nd and 3rd year of funding for multi-year grants.

** In the first two years of the IDEA Grant program, only funds were awarded. After talking with recipients and hearing the need for skilled assistance, staff time was made a component of the grant program starting in the 2002-03 cycle.

*** In order to increase the flexibility of DELTA staff and to better respond to the needs of the projects, DELTA has ceased to grant a specific number of hours for each grant. Instead, DELTA staff meet with faculty over the first several weeks of the grant project and determine the needs for the project. Staff time is used as needed to meet those needs. Staff time is still in addition to funds granted and does not need to be paid for out of the monetary award.
