Why do my WolfWare media files no longer play?

Return to FAQs

Solution Summary:

The WolfWare ":7070" link needs to be removed.

Full Solution:

Question: Why do my WolfWare media files no longer play? Solution: OIT has upgraded the Real Server media streaming software on realaudio.ncsu.edu. As a result of this upgrade, some media references and URLs will have to be changed to reflect how the newer server software operates. Currently, some URLs that refer to Real Media have a port number in them, such as: http://realaudio.ncsu.edu:7070/ramgen/real.mp3 This port number will have to be removed, so that the URL looks like: http://realaudio.ncsu.edu/ramgen/real.mp3 More information on the process can be found here: http://sysnews.ncsu.edu/news/45defd53 If you have any other questions, please contact us at (919) 513-7094 or learntech@ncsu.edu.
