Solution:
Wolfware is a web-based course management system designed to improve and
simplify online course development and delivery. Built within the campus
Eos/Unity computing environment, Wolfware uses Registration and Records and
course-catalog data to create online locations for all courses. It automatically
generates rolls and class mailing lists and provides a discussion forum, secure
directories for assignment submission and protected materials, and links to
other course-specific resources.
Wolfware leverages the robust file handling of AFS to scale a common system of
uniform course-locker creation and administration across all courses taught at
NCSU. Wolfware course lockers are constructed with a common directory and URL
hierarchy, which facilitates the automatic placement of information into the
locker and its delivery out through the web.
