NCSU Campus Visits :
One class meeting will be required at the beginning of the semester to review the course requirements. Those not able to travel to campus may be able to participate in the class meeting via conference call.

Other Attendance Requirements :
Students in this course will participate in an alternative spring break educational excursion to Charleston and St. Helena Island, South Carolina, March 13-20, 2010. Additional fees will apply to the educational excursion. An alternative project requirement may be applied to those not able to complete the educational excursion.

Students will examine historical accounts, as well as aspects of language, literature, culture and social justice. |
