About this Site
Welcome to the new DELTA website! If you are a regular DELTA website visitor, we are sure you have noticed our new look. You might also have discovered our new service-oriented style and approach to content organization and presentation. We how these changes help you expand your use of technology to teach.
There are several reasons why we have redesigned the site:
We wanted to create a “one-stop-shop” for learning technologies so that you have easier access to the variety of technology services and resources that DELTA offers. The site is structured to help you find the tools and services for teaching with technology, to quickly locate resources for learning new technologies, and to enable you to get help with your technology-related questions.
We wanted to help you stay current with the newest teaching technologies that may help you meet your instructional goals. Because of this, the site anticipates your technology needs and presents information about the latest technology services, news and resources that relate to the content you are viewing in a “related resources” sidebar. The site also includes a form where you can submit feedback about the site and how well it helps you solve instructional challenges. This combination of static and dynamic content helps keep the site current and relevant to your needs.
We wanted you to be able to find the information you need as quickly as possible. The site now includes a “quick links” box on the homepage and a keyword search to help you navigate directly to the content you need.
We wanted to address the technology needs of a wide range of faculty users who require different ways to get answers to questions and who need solutions to the variety of issues that may arise when teaching with technology. This site offers a large, searchable database of answers to many technology-related questions, as well as a database of Teaching Solutions structured around pedagogical challenges.
