Google SketchUp - Build Your Campus in 3D Team

Google Earth is already a widely popular and powerful global map viewing application, but once it was integrated with Google’s 3D modeling and rapid design program, SketchUp, it took maps to a whole new level. Buildings and landmarks began appearing in their corresponding size and position throughout the world, created both by Google staff and by user-generated content.

In January 2007, DELTA assembled a student team to enter the Google hosted the Build Your Campus in 3D Competition, and with only one month of core development time managed to create the entirety of NCSU Main Campus. View the completed models in Google Earth
