bio

Cleo Magnuson, Instructional Designer, holds a Master of Science in Education (Computer Education & Technology) and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). A dedicated educator, Cleo has worked extensively in the area of education as an instructional designer, speech-language pathologist (in a variety of settings including the university) and as a teacher.
 
Cleo has presented and published regionally, nationally and internationally. In late November of 2003 while in Russia, she presented on the topics "Modern Information Technologies: Attracting the Population to Social Action” and "Distance Education Technologies in Higher Education". Cleo presented at the Conference of the Tambov Association of Social Pedagogues and Social Workers held at Tambov State University (TSU) in Tambov, Russia and to faculty from various disciplines interested in distance education. In 2005, she published Experiential learning and the discussion board: A Strategy, a rubric and management techniques (See Distance Learning, an official publication of the USDLA, 2, (2), 15-20). In November of 2008, she co-presented at the International Convention of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology.
