Business Office

DELTA’s Business office provides compliant management of personnel, budgetary, and accounting functions; and coordinating the allocation of funds within DELTA and the allocation of distance education funds to colleges and departments throughout the University.

Distance and Distributed Education Unit

DELTA’s Distance and Distributed Education unit supports a wide variety of courses and programs to meet the educational needs of students wherever they are located. The unit provides faculty support services and the following student services: enrollment, registration, testing, and a virtual orientation. DDE also supports Distance Education program planning and development, video-based course content production, video classroom services, media distribution, and lecture capture technologies for distance and blended learning environments. The DE website contains listings of programs and courses in a number of subject areas available through DE.

Instructional Technology Support and Development

DELTA’s Instructional Technology Support and Development (ITSD) department maintains a robust and reliable academic technology infrastructure for both online and blended teaching and learning at NC State, including enterprise, customized deployments of synchronous and asynchronous learning management systems, and in-house developed instructional tools and interactive media that address specific teaching and learning needs.   ITSD offers professional development opportunities, pedagogical assistance focused on teaching and learning with technology, and learning technology support for NC State faculty and staff.   ITSD also provides web-based production assistance for the development of distance education and web-enhanced courses, as well as design leadership, project coordination, communication and brand management across multifaceted DELTA initiatives.

Marketing & Partnership Development

DELTA Marketing & Partnership Development provides leadership and vision for University strategic initiatives and partnerships for distance education and learning technologies. This office is also responsible for building and supporting collaborative initiatives among all colleges and units on campus, other University of North Carolina institutions, and with key external partners.
